August 1 – September 20

“Are you okay?”

Nathan hadn’t moved any closer, so Ti'ann turned her head to look at him. Her smile shook a little. “Yeah, I’m fine. Grateful to see you. He scares the shit out of me. What did you have to talk to me about?”

He stalked toward her, his face suddenly full of emotion, and most of it looked like anger. She stumbled away from the tree, not so grateful to see him anymore. He came toward her like a beam from a laser cannon, all focus and power and deadly intent. She backed away, tripped over a root, her feet tangled and she came up hard against another tree. By the time she’d freed her feet, he was in front of her, pushing her back against the trunk.

She sucked in a breath. His hands were hard on her shoulders, his eyes hooded and impossible to read. “What?” Panic tickled through her again. Just when a woman thought she was safe!

“Never do anything like that again. He’s dangerous.”

“He’s not the only one,” she whispered.

“You’re right. He’s not.”

And suddenly his mouth was on hers, her body flush against his. She was so surprised she stood immobile while her stomach exploded with giddy heat. Oh my god! Nathan Longfeather was kissing her. And he was kissing her like he wanted her, like he’d kissed her that first time three years ago.

  1. Dig this excerpt, so much energy and feeling in it! Definitely makes me want to know more. (Like, is "Longfeather" a euphemism for something???) ;-)
    Some Dark Romantic

  2. LOL. You'll have to read to find out, Mina :-) Thanks!! Glad you enjoyed the excerpt.

  3. I love reading about people with a past, but I can't imagine what kept these two apart! They're hot!

  4. Thanks, Shirley. They are pretty explosive when they give in. But their history is...complicated :-) And that's all I'm saying. You'll just have to read the book. ;-)

  5. Great excerpt! I love it when passion catches the heroine unaware.

  6. Thanks, Mac. Glad you enjoyed it!

  7. Tempestuous! Love the sense of passion lurking and just waiting to be unleashed. There's always such great vitality in your torrid tales, Isabo!
