MISS CHATTERLEY by Logan Belle

50 SHADES OF SEXY
August 1 – September 22

To my utter shock, he pulls off his shirt and hands it to me. “You should wipe that mud away from your eyes.”

I stare at him, resisting the urge to look at his bare chest. Instead, I focus on his straight nose, his slightly parted lips, the cleft in his chin. But I’m only human and can’t help checking out his body, especially when I spot a tattoo snaking from his muscled shoulder down to his upper arm. It’s the body I imagined in my fantasies, but even better in real life.

My breath comes in short, shallow bursts – and it has nothing to do with my exertion crossing the creek.

He moves suddenly, and I realize he’s going to touch me. My entire body tenses with anticipation, my heart pounding.

But was all he does is pull a soggy leaf from my hair.

A crushing feeling of disappointment washes over me, and I guess it’s obvious, because he reaches out to touch me again.

This time, the back of his hand brushes my cheek, his skin rough.

I stand perfectly still, my eyes locked onto his. My heart hammers so hard I think I might faint. ♥
