PAINLESS SAVIOR: IMMORTALS IN NEW YORK by Mimi Logsdon

50 SHADES OF SEXY BLOG TOUR
August 1 – September 23

SET UP:   Detective Jayson Thorten comes to Mia Perrone's apartment after she claims to have had a vision of the serial murder. He had just found the third body directly after her last vision in which she saw the girl alive. Mia is feeling horrible and her confidence is shot due to the constant interruptions in her dreams and visions of a beast shifter; she feels her timing is off. But, Jay doesn't blame her and believes in her ability.

Jay walked up behind her. Placed his hands on her shoulders and turned her around to face him. “I really don’t give a damn what the Chief or Earley have to say. It’s not true. You are extraordinary. That’s what I say.”

His hand touched her cheek. The sensation caused him to do what he’d wanted to that night he left her at her door. He buried his hands in her hair and rubbed his thumb over her cheek. Studying her eyes with wonder, he realized how much he wanted her. His mouth took hers in a slow hot kiss. Their mouths opened, tongues matching and the sweetness startled him, making him realize he had to have more. He lifted her petite body into his arms and held her close to his chest. Instinctively, she held on to him and wrapped her legs around his hips as he carried her into the room.

Jay felt his beast’s lust attempt to emerge. He was determined to go slow because he didn’t want to scare her. He didn’t want to lose control. Desire was evident in his kiss, making her lips plump, swollen.  She licked them while looking at him with big dark eyes. He placed her on the bed and stood in front of her. “I don’t think…,” he began.

She cut him off and stood on the mattress. “Stop thinking,” she ordered.

  1. Interesting plot. I already like that they're working together and are supportive of one another. Your excerpt makes me want to read more.
