Q&A WITH WILLIAM DARCY FROM THE MUSE BY JESSICA EVANS

WELCOME TO OUR HERO BLOG TOUR.
Join us every day this week and meet some very sexy Heroes from
New York’s Leading Romance Writers.

HERO:   William Darcy
Hometown:  New York, NY

Q:  Which do you prefer – baseball or football?
William:  I can tolerate the occasional Yankee's game (and only if there's box seats), but wouldn't call myself a baseball - or even a sports - fan at all.

Q:  Do you believe in love at first sight?
William:  If you're lucky enough, yes. My parents fell in love at first sight and were devoted to each other until the day my mom passed away.

Q:  Does sex mean love and marriage?
William:  If I were still twenty-five, I'd say "hell no." But things change as you age. Now, I'm not so sure. If I have sex with someone does it mean I'm going to marry her? No. But if I have sex with someone now, it tends to mean a lot more than the one-night-stands of my twenties. Maybe not love, but the potential for love.

Q:  What attracted you first about the heroine?
William:  The fire in her eyes. Her smart-ass attitude. Her passion for dance. There's nothing sexier than a woman with a passion for what she does.

Q:  If you have sex on the first date, would you respect your Heroine in the morning?
William: Depends how good the sex was.
Okay seriously, why shouldn't I respect her? Chances are, if I'm drawn to her, there's something there to admire. Take Elizabeth and I. We slept with each other before there even was a date. When we were working together, or actually, when she was a dancer in my piece. We fought constantly. And, yet, the sex was incredible. Did it make me respect her less? No. I only wanted her more afterwards.

Q:  Give us a mini synopsis of your story with the Heroine.
William:  I'm a world-famous dancer and rising choreographer who casts a young, unknown dancer (Elizabeth) in my new piece. Due to a fuck-up on my part and the lies of an old rival, Elizabeth can't stand being in the same dance studio as me. But, when I come down with a bad case of artist's block, Elizabeth somehow becomes my muse and, though I try to fight it, something more.

Q:  Give us a mini bio of your author.
William:  Jessica Evans wrote about Elizabeth and me in her debut novel, THE MUSE: A PRIDE AND PREJUDICE VARIATION.  She discovered the novels of Jane Austen (who wrote about me first) as a college sophomore, and fell in love with their romantic stories and biting sense of humor. Jessica is a member of the Romance Writers of America’s NYC Chapter and the Jane Austen Society of North America’s New York chapter. She teaches in New York City and lives in Brooklyn. Connect with her on Twitter @JEvansBooks and Facebook www.facebook.com/JessicaEvansBooks
