Q&A WITH BEN MAILER FROM ALL OF ME BY REBECCA BROOKS

THIS IS THE LAST STOP ON OUR HERO BLOG TOUR.
Thank you for joining us this week and meeting the very sexy Heroes
from New York’s Leading Romance Writers

HERO: Ben Mailer
Hometown:  Bonnet, NY

Q:  Which do you prefer – baseball or football?
BEN:  Baseball, but I'll watch anything if there's a cold beer in my hand. As long as you don't make me row crew -- I had enough of that when I was a teen!

Q:  Do you believe in love at first sight?
BEN:  I guess I must, since it happened to me.

Q:  Does sex mean love and marriage?
BEN:  I'm the kind of guy who has to be invested before I go to bed with someone. I'm a little shy, I guess, and I don't want to make a mistake or do something I might later regret. It doesn't mean we have to get married, but I'm not really going for the one night stand.

Q:  What attracted you first about the heroine?
BEN:  Her confidence, comfort, and gorgeous curls. I went in to register at the campsite where my friends and I were going to be staying for the weekend and she was sitting with her hiking boots propped on her desk, reading. I wanted to get to know her right away. And okay, it didn't hurt that I totally knew she was checking me out.

Q:  If you have sex on the first date, would you respect your Heroine in the morning?
BEN:  I'm pretty sure Casey and I had sex before we even went on a first date, since we spent the whole weekend at the campground she runs. I probably had even more respect for her, since I discovered the insane swim she takes in the freezing cold lake when she wakes up at dawn.  But honestly, any guy who says "no" to this question isn't someone I'd be friends with. Full stop.

Q:  Give us a mini synopsis of your story with the Heroine.
BEN:  It was supposed to be just a weekend away with friends. I had plans—to graduate from culinary school, get a job at an upscale New York City restaurant, and be the son my father always wished he'd had.  Then I met the woman who made me rethink everything, and showed me how to live on my own terms.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:  Rebecca Brooks has backpacked alone through India and Brazil, traveled by cargo boat down the Amazon River, climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, explored ice caves in Peru, trekked to the source of the Ganges, and sunbathed in Burma, but she always likes coming home to a cold beer and her hot husband in the Bronx. She writes about travel, the outdoors, and independent women ready to try something new.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT!

Q&A WITH THE MEN OF THROWN A CURVE BY KATE McMURRAY

WELCOME TO OUR HERO BLOG TOUR.
Join us every day this week and meet some very sexy Heroes from
New York’s Leading Romance Writers.

HEROES:
Mason and Patrick
Hometown:  New York, NY

KATE: In THROWN A CURVE, ex-Yankee Mason re-unites with Patrick, with whom he had a steamy encounter last summer. They both play baseball in the Rainbow League. (THROWN A CURVE is book 2 in the series.) Let’s ask both these heroes some questions.

KATE: Which do you prefer—baseball or football?
PATRICK: Baseball.
MASON: Is there another sport?

KATE: Do you believe in love at first sight?
PATRICK: Well, I mean—
MASON: Please. When we first met, you just wanted to get in my pants.
PATRICK: Same goes. But I know I’m irresistible, darling. I would just like to say, though, that when I first saw you, I thought you had something special.
MASON: In my pants?
PATRICK: No, I… well, yeah, in your pants.

KATE: Does sex mean love and marriage?
PATRICK: *laughs*
MASON: Come on, it’s a serious question.
PATRICK: Oh, sure. And the first time we did it, did you think you’d be proposing?
MASON: Not exactly.
PATRICK: Look, here’s the thing. I’ve had sex with a lot of dudes. I mean, a lot. And you have, too.
MASON: Ugh, don’t remind me.
PATRICK: Sometimes sex is just two consenting adults having a good time. With their pants off.
MASON: But sometimes…
PATRICK: Well, honey, with you, it’s something else. Something really great. Amazing. Transcendent!
MASON: Aw.

KATE:  What attracted you first to the other guy?
MASON: Well, Patrick’s not like any guy I’ve ever been with before.
PATRICK: That’s because you used to date meatheads. Which I am not.
MASON: That’s a good thing. And you’re so… colorful.
PATRICK: Sure.
MASON: I mean, the tattoos and the piercings and the hair. I like all of that. You’re really sexy, you know that?
PATRICK: Thanks, honey! Do you think I would freak people out if I dyed my hair brown for the wedding?
MASON: No one would recognize you.
PATRICK: That’s why I’d do it. Anyway, you’re not like any guy I’ve ever dated, either. For one thing, you’re the only one who’s been on the cover of People magazine.
MASON: You’re never going to get over that, are you?
PATRICK: It’s really cool. Also, you’re all athletic and stuff, but you’re also really sweet. I like that about you.
MASON: Thanks.

KATE:  If you have sex on the first date, would you respect the hero in the morning?
PATRICK: Um.
MASON: Well, considering we…
PATRICK: I mean, we weren’t even really dating yet. Between you, me, and the men’s room stall.
MASON: Did you respect me afterwards.
PATRICK: Oh, yeah. More than ever. That first time was so hot.
MASON: Same for me. I couldn’t stop thinking about it.
PATRICK: There’s a men’s room right over there. What do you say to us recreating the memory?
MASON: Uh, well, let’s finish the interview first.

KATE: Give us a mini synopsis of your story.
PATRICK: As you may have already gleaned, the story is basically just that we met in a bar, were instantly attracted to each other, and then totally did it in the men’s room.
MASON: Then we spent, what, eight months thinking about each other?
PATRICK: Yes. Then we met again, but you had some issues to work through before we could really be happy together.
MASON: I had issues? Not you, too?
PATRICK: Next question.

KATE:  Give us a mini-bio of your author.
PATRICK: Kate writes gay romances. Our book is her twelfth novel.
MASON: Wow! That’s a lot. Kate also edits nonfiction, knits, plays the violin, and is also clearly an avid fan of the greatest sport on earth.
PATRICK: Hockey?
MASON: Ignore him. Kate lives in Brooklyn with two cats.
PATRICK: We should get a cat!
MASON: We’ll talk about it.

Q&A WITH HEXFORD AUGUSTINE WILTON FROM JULIANA AND THE EARL BY K. KEITH

WELCOME TO OUR HERO BLOG TOUR.
Join us every day this week and meet some very sexy Heroes from
New York’s Leading Romance Writers.

HERO:    Hexford Augustine Wilton,
the Earl of Wilton
Hometown:  London, England

Q:  Which do you prefer – baseball or football?
Hexford:  Footy, of course. I'm an Englishman

Q:  Do you believe in love at first sight?
Hexford:  No. I'm also a realist. Attraction at first sight, not love. Real love takes time. Say, a day or two.

Q:  Does sex mean love and marriage?
Hexford:  If you're caught, one is usually marched off to a church. It is the 13th century, after all.

Q:  What attracted you first about the heroine?
Hexford:  The efficient way she threw the pocket knife to me as I was being thrashed by robbers.

Q:  Tell us your story with the Heroine.
Hexford:   Juliana tossed her knife to me. In a moment of massively poor judgement, I agreed to help her steal something which she claimed belonged to her grandfather. We hated each other at various points, didn't hate each other so much at various points, got cozy at more various points, got caught in a dangerous compromising position, in more ways than one, then after an explosive revelation by a deranged distant relative, we declared eternal love for each other and got hitched.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:    K. Keith is a librarian.  JULIANA AND THE EARL is out for submission.  Fingers crossed.

Q&A WITH MARCO VERAZI FROM DOING LONDON BY CHLOE BLAQUE

WELCOME TO OUR HERO BLOG TOUR.
Join us every day this week and meet some very sexy Heroes from
New York’s Leading Romance Writers.

HERO:   Marco Verazi
Hometown:  Italy

Q:  Which do you prefer – baseball or football?
Marco:  My Football is you’re Soccer. I’ve been playing footie since I was a boy in Italy. It’s given me a fortunate life.

Q:  Do you believe in love at first sight?
Marco: I do. I come from a long line of romantics. My father claims he saw my mother’s face and fell in love instantly. I glimpsed Josie’s legs as she was walking by a café window. I had to go in.

Q:  Does sex mean love and marriage?
Marco:  No. But I want all three.

Q:  What attracted you first about the heroine?
Marco: Her independence. I flirted with her, and she scowled at me. I found that strange and intriguing. That had never happened to me before.

Q: If you have sex on the first date, would you respect your Heroine in the morning?
Marco: Of course. Like I said, I’m a romantic. I’ll make sure we “respect” each other all morning.

Book Summary:  TV personality Josie left the glam of L.A. behind for a quieter life in London. That is, until she runs into celebrity footballer Marco who can't resist her sultry ways. The Italian soccer god has his pick of women–and he wants Josie. But will Josie's X-rated secret ruin her new life...and his?

Q&A WITH MARK KALLI FROM A YEAR OF SUMMER SHADOWS BY ALICE ORR (BOOK DEBUT!)

WELCOME TO OUR HERO BLOG TOUR.
Join us every day this week and meet some very sexy Heroes from
New York’s Leading Romance Writers.

RWA/NYC congratulates Alice Orr on her book debut.
A YEAR OF SUMMER SHADOWS, book two in her
Riverton Road romantic suspense series,
released yesterday to rave reviews.  Go, Alice!

HERO:   Mark Kalli
Hometown:  Riverton, NY

Curious Questioner: Which do you prefer – baseball or football?
Mark Kalli: Neither, if you have to know. Watching a baseball game is like watching grass grow. And if I want to see heads bashed I don’t have to tune in to Monday Night Football. I can tune in to the kids that come to the youth program I run called Build Your Future. Those guys – and girls too – bash themselves every day against the hard walls their lives have flung up in front of them while I do what I can to chip away at those walls stone by stone. So I’m a basketball man. The action moves as fast as a pair of Nikes can carry it and you have to keep your brain in one piece to figure out how to get your team a whole lot of net and nothing but net.

CQ: Does sex mean love and marriage?
MK: You can’t be serious. Did my mom send you over here to ask me that? I’ll bet she did. She’s finally got my brother Matt headed to the altar with Kara. I have to be her next target. Tell her this. If she doesn’t stop trying to take a peek into my personal life I’ll be a no-show for Sunday dinner. That should shut her down for a while. In other words what I think about sex and love and marriage too is my business until I decide to make it somebody else’s.

CQ: I’m almost afraid to ask you this but do you believe in love at first sight?
MK: You should be afraid. (Mark goes silent for a long moment.)
CQ: Do you need me to repeat the question? Or maybe this one’s too scary for you and I should move on.
MK: It’s not scary. You made me think, that’s all. I wasn’t expecting you to make me think. So let’s say I reward you for surprising me by answering this one straight from the hip. What you made me think about is that I never did believe in love at first sight. I watched my brother Matt get blindsided by that years ago. It turned out all right for him in the end but he went through a long bad time in between. I wasn’t going to let that happen to me. But then… Then I saw Hailey and for the first time I understood why a guy as hardheaded and sure of himself as Matt would carry a torch what felt like forever even though it was burning him up inside. Okay. Enough about that. One more question. That’s all you get.

CQ: This woman you call Hailey. What attracted you first about her?
MK flashes a smile that sets the questioner’s head reeling. Then Mark answers the question with one word: Everything.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:  Alice Orr’s current novel is A YEAR OF SUMMER SHADOWS – Riverton Road Romantic Suspense Series Book #2 – available at amazon.com/author/aliceorr. This is her 13th novel and she’s thrilled to introduce you to Hailey Lambert and Matt Kalli too. But you’d better be careful what you ask him. Q&A WITH RANDY FROM SWEET JAZZ BY URSULA RENEE

WELCOME TO OUR HERO BLOG TOUR.
Join us every day this week and meet some very sexy Heroes from
New York’s Leading Romance Writers.

HERO:    Randy
Hometown:  Harlem, NY

Cass: We’re here.

Ursula: Randy, I thought we discussed this. This is your interview, why is Cass here?

Randy: Since I answered Cass’s questions last month, it was only fair that she should join us the month.

Ursula: (throwing up her hands) I give up.

Cass: Don’t be like that. We make your life interesting.

Ursula: Let’s get on with this. Which do you prefer – baseball or football?

Cass: Sports, boring?

Randy: She didn’t ask whether or not you liked sports. She asked which one I preferred.

Cass: (blows a raspberry)

Randy: (shaking his head) I prefer baseball.

Ursula: What’s your favorite team?

Randy: The New York Black Yankees. Got to support the local team.

Ursula: (nodding) Good choice. Now, do you believe in love at first sight?

Cass: Randy’s a romantic. Yes, he believes in love at first sight.

Ursula: And, does sex mean love and marriage?

Cass: If it was up to him, yes. Randy’s not one to bed women willy-nilly. He really cared for me before he made his first move. And, he was ready to stand before a preacher long before I was.

Ursula: What attracted you first about Cass?

Cass: My sparkling personality, of course.

Randy: (laughs)

Cass: (crossing her arms over her chest) What’s so funny?

Randy: Girl, I was attracted to your sassiness.

Ursula: Well, Randy, could you please answer the next question. If you have sex on the first date, would you respect your Heroine in the morning?

Randy: Everyone deserves respect, so yes. I would respect her in the morning. However, I can’t see myself fallin’ for someone not willin’ to take the time to get to know me before bein’ intimate with me.

Ursula: Well, thank you Randy and Cass. Hopefully, we’ll be able to have a normal interview next time.

Cass: (snickering) Now, that’s funny.

Randy: Best joke I’ve heard all year. (laughs)

Book Summary:  Randy and Cass’s story is told in SWEET JAZZ. Though many of the employees at The Big House are not thrilled when Randy is hires to play sax, Cass, the club's sassy singer goes out of her way to welcome him. As their relationship develops, life at the club for Randy becomes complicated when he has to fight both Cass’s fear of opening her heart and those who want to keep them apart.

Q&A WITH ERIK BONETA SKOVGAARD FROM BLAME THE DRESS, A NEW YEAR’S ROMANCE BY VANESSA PETERS

WELCOME TO OUR HERO BLOG TOUR.
Join us every day this week and meet some very sexy Heroes from
New York’s Leading Romance Writers.

And on this special day, we want to wish Heroes everywhere
a very Happy Father's Day!

HERO:   ERIK BONETA SKOVGAARD
Hometowns:  Atlanta, GA and Oslo, Norway

Q:  Which do you prefer – baseball or football?
ERIK:  Football, but not the American version of football.

Q:  Do you believe in love at first sight?
ERIK:  No...that's for story books, and I'm definitely no prince.

Q:  Does sex mean love and marriage?
ERIK:  Chuckling...sex means pleasure.  Deep and penetrating pleasure, but not love and marriage.  Sex is just sex, K jæreste, Sweetheart.

Q:  What attracted you first about the heroine?
ERIK:  Hmmm...Watching her making moves around the room in that delicious looking red dress.  She was a vision of perfection in it.  And the minute she spoke her first words to me I knew I was going to do whatever it took to have her.

Q:   If you have sex on the first date, would you respect your Heroine in the morning?
ERIK:   I respect any woman that takes life head on and lives on her own terms.  A powerful and determined woman is sexy as hell.  A woman who knows what she wants...including sex...and takes it, gets more respect than an indecisive woman in my book any day.

Q:  Give us a mini synopsis of your story with the Heroine.
ERIK:  Lust at first sight...most definitely.  But when your weekend fling is suddenly your coworker, things can get tricky.  Trickier still when one taste wasn't enough and I determined to have more.
