SUMMER READING WITH ROMANCE AUTHOR DEL CARMEN

RWA/NYC members share their summer reading lists.
So pull up a beach chair, breakout the sun tan lotion
and open a book (or tablet)!

FROM DEL CARMEN:  This summer I plan to soak up the sun and get lost in books outside my comfort-zone genre.  Check these out:

1.    WHAT I WAS DOING WHILE YOU WERE BREEDING by Kristin Newman
An “old maid” explores the world, falls in and out of love, and says no to marriage and kids without apologies.

2.    DRUM SPEAKING: TALES FROM AN INNER CITY GRIOT by Kevin Alberto Sabio
A collection of short stories with a multitude of diverse tales in the tradition of the talking drum.

3.    SWEAR ON THIS LIFE by Renee Carlino
A struggling writer discovers that she is the inspiration for a pseudonymously published bestselling novel so the quest is on to find the author and reveal his identity and their past.

4.    A VILLAIN FOR VANESSA by Alice Orr
Book 4 of the lively Riverton Road romantic suspense series, where new mysteries are discovered.

5.    BLACK WIDOW BITCHES by Victor Cass
The “War on Terrorism” spirals out of control and engulfs much of the globe.  To the rescue, is America’s –and the world’s!—first all-female combat infantry division. ♥

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:  Del Carmen writes erotica in the hopes of exposing more of herself.  She’s published with Cleis Press, Ravenous Romance and Riverdale Avenue Books, as well as Cosmopolitan for Latinas and Penthouse magazines. Visit her at mydelcarmen.com.

  2. Congratulations on "getting out of your comfort zone" in reading, Carmen. More of us should do that to expand our literary horizons! Your suggestions are a nice mix of genres. I can vouch for BLACK WIDOW BITCHES, a literary war novel that shows empowered women pushing their minds, bodies, and spirits way beyond stereotypes as warriors against terrorists. Thanks for your blog and ideas. Continued successes to you.
