AUGUST 1 (NEW TIME): CHAPTER MEETING, KEYNOTE SPEAKER FINOLA AUSTIN

CHAPTER MEETING:  Saturday, August 1

NEW TIME!   10:00am -1:00pm via zoom.

There will be a business meeting from 10:00-11:00am.
Our Keynote Speaker will join us at 11:00am.

TOPIC:  Researching (Historical) Fiction

KEYNOTE SPEAKER:   Finola Austin, author of BRONTE’S MISTRESS

Join us on Aug 1 for a talk from historical novelist Finola Austin, whose first novel BRONTE’S MISTRESS will be released on Aug 4 by Atria Books. The book explores the scandalous historical love affair between Branwell Brontë and Lydia Robinson, giving voice to the woman who allegedly corrupted her son’s innocent tutor and brought down the entire Brontë family. Centered as it is on a love affair, the novel has strong romantic elements.

Finola will be giving us an inside look into her research process, which should be especially (though not exclusively) useful to members who write historicals. During the Q&A portion, she will be taking questions more broadly and is happy to speak about her journey to traditional publication. Find Finola online at www.finolaaustin.com or on social media (FacebookInstagram, or Twitter).

MEMBERS:   the zoom link will be emailed via the Chapter Loop.

NON-MEMBERS:  Join our Chapter today for $1 and participate in all our events.  For more info, email us at president@rwanyc.com.
