During this holiday season our authors are sharing their
"Favorite Things.”
FROM LAQUETTE…..
My favorite thing is sitting in the living room with the lights off, my
white Christmas tree twinkling with a color design of my choosing—this year,
silver and black—but now, with the bonus of my husband holding me as we talk
about the things that Santa left for
the boys (my husband arguing that he’s still mad Santa is stealing his
thunder—he’s a Scrooge sometimes). Sharing that simple moment with him is so
pivotal to my holiday cheer. Why? Simply because it’s a moment our love shines
through all the noise of life. It’s a
moment that reminds me how many gifts I’ve received because of that love. It’s a moment I stop and count my blessings.
Ultimately, we
should all have something about the holiday season that makes us stop and say,
“Thank you.” For me, it’s the love of my
husband and family. How about you?

Whatever it is. Hold tight to it,
and celebrate it for as long as you can.
Those moments of celebration are what makes life worthwhile.♥
