WRITING TIP WEDNESDAY WITH ANNA DePALO

Visit us every week for a new tip to improve your craft
and spark your imagination.

Memorable Details

You should have a “telling detail” in every book.

One of the characters I remember best from a long ago category romance whose title I can no longer recall. She painted each of her toes a different color—like a rainbow—because it made her happy.

You only need one little thing—the reader will latch on to it.
