“Come
here.”
“Why?”
Her pulse picked up. Being any closer to him than the three feet separating
their bench seats was a dangerous thing.
A
corner of his incredibly sensual mouth lifted. “Because I asked you nicely.”
Confusion
swamped her. In the last five days, they’d both made a point of keeping their
distance. This time, she had to be sure. If she gave herself to him, there was
no going back. Now, her heart was involved.
“Do
you really want me?” She licked her lips, unable to ignore the heat in his eyes
or the promise of passion in his outstretched hand.
Both
corners of his mouth lifted as he gave her a sexy grin that made her heart
race. “Baby, I’ve always wanted you.”
She
raised her arm, and as the distance between their hands got smaller and
smaller, her pulse tripped into the danger zone. He tugged her from the bench
and onto his lap. “Dayne, I—” His lips cut off her cry of surprise.
His
mouth was hot, wet, the kiss scorching and dizzying until she could barely
breathe. The throbbing between her legs became unbearable, and she dug her
fingers into his back through his tuxedo jacket. More. She wanted to
feel his incredible body.
Kat
slipped her fingers beneath his cummerbund then pulled the shirt from his
waistband, seeking his flesh and all but sighing when her fingers found it.
Taut, hot skin over rippling muscle. ###
